The studio puts great emphasis on attempting to put all your child’s dances and siblings in the same show whenever possible. Due to the multitude of different dance schedules, and sibling’s schedules, there are circumstances where some of your dances may be divided into multiple shows or a particular dance your child is in will perform in more than one show.
The attached list of routines outlines information for each dance including which show(s) they perform in (indicated in the “recital show #” column.
Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal will be held on Monday, June 22nd starting at 12:00pm at the Macomb Center for The Performing Arts. Please stay tuned to your email for further information on dress rehearsal and recital procedures.

Ticketing FAQs
Q: Does my small child/infant need a ticket?
A: Yes. The Macomb Center policy states that any person (infant/child or adult) within the auditorium (regardless of age) requires a ticket (even if you plan to have them sit on your lap). These are not the studio rules, these are fire code policies required of the theater. Please refer to Macomb Center policies and procedures for further information
Q: Does my dancer need a ticket?
A: If you plan to bring your dancer into the auditorium to watch before or after performing, they will need a ticket.
Q: Can I submit my ticket order by email but pay with cash or check?
A: Yes. To keep your place in line, please submit cash or check payment to the front desk within 24 hours. If payment is not received in 24 hours, the order will be disregarded.
Q: How do I fill out the ticket form?
A: Step 1: Review the attached list of routines and locate your child’s dances to determine which show(s) your dancer(s) will be performing in.
Step 2: Locate and fill out the recital ticket order form included in this email
Ø Fill out the order information for the show you wish to purchase tickets for. All seats are assigned. In the event you need to purchase additional tickets later, they will be seated separately from your original ticket order.
Ø Enter the quantity desired in the “standard” box for regular seating
Ø Enter the quantity desired in the “Handicap” box for handicap/wheelchair accessible seating
***Please note that handicap seating is limited and may be separated from the rest of your group. Our recital venue has a large theater with a great view from every seat. If you prefer balcony or end of row seating, you may indicate your request on the ticket form. Requests are not guaranteed but will be accommodated if possible.
Ø Select payment method on the bottom of the form.
Ø Submit form via email after 9:00 am on 5/31 or submit in person to the studio beginning 6/1 during regular business hours.
Q: Do I have to purchase tickets for each show?
A: Tickets are assigned seating and have separate tickets for each show. If you are planning to watch the recital from inside of the auditorium, you will need a ticket for each show you plan to attend. If you are helping backstage in the dressing room and only plan to stay backstage, you will not need a ticket.
Q: Do I need to be a volunteer to go backstage?
A: No, you are not required to be a volunteer to go backstage and assist your dancer.
Q: What do I do if my child cannot attend one of the shows they are scheduled for?
A: We would love for all our students to be able to perform in each of their shows but certainly understand that circumstances may pop up that conflict with show day. All we ask is that you communicate any absences to our staff beforehand if possible.
Q: My dancer’s routine was placed in multiple shows; do they have to come to all of them?
A: If your child’s routine is placed in more than one show, this is usually done to accommodate families and other dancers’ schedules as well. As much as we would love all students to be at all performances, we certainly understand it is not always feasible to be present at more than one. You do not have to buy tickets for the extra shows (unless you would like to) but we do ask that you please bring your dancer to participate in the extra performance, if possible, and you can wait for them backstage. Our recital gets livestreamed to a projector screen in the girls’ dressing room for your viewing pleasure.
Q: Is there a limit to how many tickets I can purchase for each show?
A: No. However, all tickets are non-refundable.
Q: Can I purchase tickets at the door?
A: Yes. Tickets will be for sale at the studio service desk in the theater lobby if the show is not sold out.
Q: When will I get my tickets?
A: Recital tickets are filled by our third-party company. An email will be sent notifying you to pick up your recital tickets at the studio once they are filled and ready. Or, you have the option to pick the tickets up at Dress Rehearsal.

While at the Macomb Center
Disruptive Persons—Macomb Center reserves the right to remove any patrons who are disruptive or disorderly.
Cameras, Cell Phones, and Recording Devices—The photo policy for each performance is posted in the lobby. Flash photography, selfie-sticks and tripods are prohibited at all events for the safety of the performers and the consideration of other patrons.
Young Children—While we believe children under the age of four should be exposed to the arts, we must be sensitive to other patrons’ experiences as well. Parents will be asked to remove their child(ren) if they are causing disruptions. Children are encouraged to attend specially designated family performances. Strollers are not allowed in the theater at any time. All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
Theater Opening—Typically, it is our policy to open the house for seating 30 minutes prior to showtime.
Late Seating—Patrons arriving late may be asked to wait in the lobby until they can be seated safely and at an appropriate time during the performance. The performance may be viewed on television monitors located on the main floor of the lobby until seating can continue.
Tobacco and e-cigarettes—Macomb Community College is a tobacco-free campus. Please refrain from smoking or using vaping devices in or near the venue entrances. There are limited designated smoking areas on campus.
To reiterate,
1) Due to fire code, all children attending the show must have a ticket (this includes infants), regardless of age. This is a requirement of the Macomb Center.
2) Strollers are not allowed inside the auditorium.
3) If you would like your dancer to join you in the auditorium after they are done performing, they must have a ticket. Please keep in mind that we do have the show streamed to a big screen in the dressing room staffed with volunteers to allow you to enjoy the show if you so please!
The Macomb Center for the Performing Arts strictly enforces their policies, so that nobody is caught off guard.
Company dancers, please stay tuned for a separate, follow up email, with your show information!
Looking forward to a memorable 44th Annual Recital!
