FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Do I Choose the Right Dance Style?

We offer a variety of dance styles for different ages.

Ages 1½–2: Creative Movement – introduces rhythm, balance, coordination, stretching, and core dance foundations.
Ages 3+ may choose from:

  • Jazz: Expressive, upbeat style blending modern dance techniques and personal artistry.

  • Tap: Focuses on rhythm, timing, and musicality through percussive footwork.

  • Ballet: Classical, technically based training that builds a foundation for all dance forms.

  • Hip Hop: Energetic and dynamic, set to today’s popular music.

  • Lyrical: Combines ballet, jazz, and modern movement to express song lyrics through emotion.

  • Acro: Blends gymnastics and dance with an emphasis on strength, flexibility, and control.

Does Class Meet Weekly?

Yes! Classes meet at the same time each week and run through mid-June, followed by our Annual Recital.

What If I Have to Miss a Class?

If your child will be absent, please call or email the front desk.
For extended absences, notify us ahead of time so we can reserve your dancer’s spot.

What If I Want to Make Changes to My Schedule?

To add or drop a class, please complete an Add/Drop Form at the front desk.
All schedule changes must go through this form to ensure accuracy in our system.

Do I Stay and Watch or Leave While My Child Is in Class?

That’s entirely up to you! Parents are welcome to wait in our lobby or view from select classroom windows.
If you prefer to leave, you may do so — your dancer is in great hands!

Do You Allow Parents in the Classroom?

Typically, students enter class independently to build confidence and focus.
However, parents may walk their child in if needed, especially for our youngest dancers.
Teachers are happy to assist in helping students feel comfortable.

Do We Have to Participate in the Recital?

All classes will learn a recital dance, but if you prefer not to perform, simply let the front desk know and we’ll note that a costume will not be needed.
